The city of Düsseldorf has set the goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2035. The new natural gas power plant, Block “Fortuna,” at the Lausward site marks a significant milestone on this path.
With its environmentally friendly electricity and heat production based on natural gas and its high flexibility, the power plant is an ideal complement to the increasingly important renewable energy sources.
Important notes
During the tour, safety helmets must be worn. People with a fear of heights should be aware that part of the path is made of metal grates. Sturdy footwear is mandatory.
